Dr. Houston has more than 23 years of experience in industry and education, serving as a business teacher for 5 years, an assistant principal for 8 years, principal for 5 years, and district-level administrator for 4 years. She was the first African-American Principal of her middle school and with the help of her dynamic staff, raised the school report card grade up two levels in one year.
